Biography

I was born in Minneapolis, MN, one of seven children.  My father was a machinist with a sixth grade education, my mother a housewife and a high school graduate.  I was fortunate to attend a local private school with my siblings, this experience provided an excellent basic education.

I attended the University of Minnesota earning both a BA and a MFA degree.  I have since lived in New York City and Chicago, pursuing a career that has combined my dual focus on traditional art media and performance.  I am completing a MA at Governors State University, as part of which the Rainwatching series of paintings in encaustic and mixed media have been completed.

I now live in Oak Park, IL, with my wife, children, and cats; all of whom consider me to be harmlessly insane.
